Numbers that are not exactly divisible by 2 are called odd numbers. If an odd number is divided by 2, the remainder is 1. In other words, numbers that are not multiples of 2 are odd numbers. Thus, 2 is not a factor of an odd number. An odd number has any of the digits 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 in the units place. Example: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, ... are odd numbers.
