Educational resources for Home Schooling from Syvum

Educational Software
Syvum has produced several titles to help build English skills -- specifically
vocabulary, spelling, grammar and reading, and Mathematics skills -- addition,
subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, algebra and word problems.
These are available in four levels of difficulty
as Kids English SyvumBook and Kids Math SyvumBook, which

These products have received
excellent reviews from several authorities in
educational software. All products are based on a common approach, that
allows presenting the material and the exercises in a format similar to a
workbook. One big difference, however, being the ability of the software
to generate random
exercises and grade them. The common framework, called the Syvum Browser,
allows parents and teachers to monitor the child's progress.
A fine balance of multimedia (audio and graphics) is used to keep the children
entertained while they learn.

Online Activities
The online activities are also based on the workbook philosophy followed in
the Kids SyvumBook Series. They are similar in content to the Kids SyvumBook
Series titles, but without many features including the progress monitor and
audio instructions. They also follow the dynamic content approach unique to
Syvum, and are capable of automatically generating and evaluating tests.
The subjects covered are English and Mathematics at this time, with numerous
others under development. Multiple difficulty levels are supported. You can

Self Study Tools
Both the educational software products and online activities from Syvum
are excellent self study tools, which challenge the kids to new levels
of creativity and thinking. The offline software product is ideal for
parents are teachers concerned about the kids getting exposed to
