Syvum Web Shop goes online -- All products free for a limited period
Calgary (CANADA), 10 October 1999.
Syvum Technologies Inc. today took another step towards e-commerce, with
the announcement of the Syvum Web Shop. As an introductory offer,
all the products in the shop are available to purchase for no charge
for a limited period of time,
Thousands of dollars worth of software
will be given away for free over the next few days.
The customers follow the normal shopping procedure during the limited offer
period,
however, they need not enter their
own credit card number. Instead, they are provided
with a credit card number by Syvum. The shop launch is accompanied by
the release of the latest version (1.04) of the Syvum Browser and four levels of
the Kids Math SyvumBook. The version 1.04 of the Syvum Browser is capable
of installing SyvumBooks directly from the Syvum Web Site, making the
entire procedure extremely simple.
For faster downloads, an upgrade installation of version 1.04 of the Syvum
Browser is also being made available. The full version is more than 7 MB in
size, with the upgrade installation only 0.5 MB.
