Pakistan is called the 'Gift of the Indus' because :

Indus is the main source of water for a major part of Pakistan. Its
waters are used for irrigation, industries, and generation of
   hydroelectricity.
Without the Indus, Pakistan would have been a vast barren arid
   desert.

Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world
   because :

Bangladesh lies in the Ganga-Brahmaputra  delta, and is thus a vast
fertile and level land, and a dense network of roads and railways.
It is a developing country, and the people are illiterate, and
   unaware of family planning.
Bangladesh has a pleasant climate, which attracts a lot of people.

   The reason is that:
Patna is located east of Varanasi, and the Bay of Bengal Branch of the SW
monsoons while travelling up the Ganga Plain from east to west gives more
rainfall to Patna, and becomes relatively dry by the time it reaches
   Varanasi.
