   Two reasons for Afghanistan and Mayanmar to be considered the extension of
   South Asia are -
   1. Both countries are influenced from south-west monsoon winds in summer
   like Indian subcontinent and have a tropical climate.2. As the Himalayas in
   the north of the sub-continent radiate from the Pamir Knot to the east,
   Sulaiman and Hindukush mountains of Afghanistan radiate from Pamir Knot to
   west.The Arakan Yoma is the southernly extension of the Himalayas in the
   east in Mayanmar.
