   according to the law of conservation of energy, energy can neither be
   created nor destroyed, it can only be converted from one form to
   another.therefore the mechanical energy is conserved throughout

   created nor destroyed, it can only be converted from one form to
   another.therefore the mechanical energy is conserved throughout and is 12.8J
   energy is conserved. so the total kinetic energy and potential energy(total
   mechanical energy) in a body is conserved.therefore the total energy will be
   same in the whole stone's trajectory.only the potential energy and kinetic
   energy will vary
