   Due to intensive leaching , laterite soils lack in fertility but respond
   well to manuring and irrigation and hence Laterite soil unsuitable for the
   cultivation of crops.

   the cultivation of crops. This soil is found in peninsular india in states
   such like karnataka,TN,kerala etc.
