Bar Glass : Collins


Mai Tai is Tahitian for 'out of this world'. A blend of light rum, dark rum, triple sec, orgeat syrup, pineapple juice and sweet and sour make this drink true to its name!

Serve In : Collins Glass (14 oz) as shown above

½ fl oz (12 ml) light rum
½ fl oz (12 ml) dark rum
½ fl oz (12 ml) triple sec
½ fl oz (12 ml) orgeat syrup
½ fl oz (12 ml) pineapple juice

1 fl oz (25 ml) sweet and sour
ice cubes as required
2 cherries to garnish

  1. Pour all the ingredients except the cherries into a shaker with ice cubes. Shake well.
  2. Strain the mixture into collins glass(es) almost filled with ice cubes.
  3. Garnish with the cherries and serve.
    TIP:
  • Triple sec is an orange-flavored liqueur.
  • Orgeat syrup is a sweet almond syrup. It is typically made with almonds, rose water and sugar.
  • Sweet and sour is a mixer made of a blend of lemon juice and sugar syrup. It is also known as sour mix or bar mix.
