Serve In : Old-Fashioned Glass (8-10 oz) as shown above

2 fl oz (50 ml) well-aged Jamaica rum or dark rum
1 fl oz (25 ml) fresh orange juice
1 fl oz (25 ml) fresh lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 teaspoons(s)granulated sugar
crushed ice cubes as required
2 slices of lime to decorate
  1. Place crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour all the ingredients and shake well until a frost forms on the outside of the shaker.
  2. Strain over ice cubes placed in old-fashioned glass(es).
  3. Serve decorated with lime slices.
    TIP:
  • Angostura bitters is a blend of herbs, spices and plant extracts. It was first developed by a German doctor in Angostura, Venezuela in 1824. It is a medical concoction originally intended to treat stomach ailments and fatigue. Now, it is a very popular and widely used bar item.
  • Granulated sugar is also called caster sugar.
