A traditional hot and sour Thai soup with prawns.

Cooking time (approx.):  minutes

2  tablespoon(s) prawns (koong) shelled and deveined
1  cup(s) mushrooms (hed) sliced
4  cups(s) prawn stock
4  kaffir lime leaves (bai ma krut) chopped
2  teaspoon(s) lemon grass (takhrai) chopped
4  hot Thai green chillies (prik khi nu khiao) chopped
2  tablespoon(s) galangal (kha) sliced
2  tablespoon(s) fish sauce (nam pla)
4  tablespoons lemon (manao) juice
2  teaspoon(s) chilli paste
2  tablespoon(s) tamarind pulp
salt to taste

  1. Pour the prawn stock in a pan and heat for about 3  minute(s).
  2. Add all the other ingredients and simmer for about 8  minutes or till the mushrooms and prawns are tender.
    Serve hot.
