Subject: Professional success is hard to achieve...
In today’s world, professions are becoming very demanding and require extra
effort from individuals to succeed. Competition has become very intensive
requiring everybody to come up with new ideas and strategies every time so
as to stay ahead of the competitors. Time to market is a big differentiator
and this requires compromises on personal front as everybody is putting more
effort in the workplaces to get an edge.

In today’s scenario of globalization there is lot of work happening across
geographies. This is requiring people to work across different time zones
and work during odd hours. This also leads to disturbances in personal life.
There are lot of cases of divorces in professional couples since the couples
don’t have time for each other and fully involved in the activities related
   to work place.

On the contrary, putting too much focus on professional success can lead to
burn out. There are lot of instances where people put extra effort but
unable to sustain the effort in the long run.

There is lot of discussions in management circles related to better time
management and working smartly. People are advised to do essential things
first. A popular book by Stephen Covey on time management “First Things
First” stresses on the idea of time management and maintaining balance
   between professional and personal life.

Looking at above points, it definitely requires one to strike balance
between professional and personal lives. People are getting carried away by
professional success but they need to assess whether they are loosing on
personal front and any kind of impact it could have on their future lives.
It will also require organizations to change the structure and mindsets so
that the organizations value the personal lives of employees as much as the
   professional life.

Subject: Re: Analysis of Issue Essay Topic 6 - Difficult for people to achieve professio
I agree with the statement that to achieve professional success, sacrifice
of personal aspect is essential. There is no doubt that we have achieved a
great deal of professional success in this century and there are lots of
by-products to it. I would try to prove that, we have achieved our
professional success by sacrificing personal life, by examples.

The topic might not be totally applicable to all and sundry. But it can hold
the ground for the majority. Effort that a human can exhort is finite. If we
need success in professional life, we need to put more effort there and this
decrease the energy left for personal life. Human can’t increase the limit
of his/her energy. And human body can’t cope up with the unlimited demand
of modern profession. In the globalize world, where the possibilities are
infinite and most of us are willing to spend bulk of our focus in our
professional life. Achieving success in professional field is getting more
important than happiness in personal and family life.

The conflict of family and a demanding career is an apt example. How far can
a human being juggle between these two roles? At the very end, we need to
find a compromise. It’s either job or the family. This conflict is more
prominent in developed world than anywhere else. Many socio-economic
problems can be traced to shift of focus to professional success. Divorce
rate is rising, as we don’t value family any more and we don’t value
each other as well. Most of the developed world is facing baby-crisis and
this is the direct result of career aspiration. Family has become a
hindrance on the way of a career objective. Living together rather than
getting committed to each other is getting popular, as people are seeking
pleasure rather than commitment. Human being is running after professional
success so much that we don’t have time for other commitments. So concept
of family might be wiped out soon. Single parents are getting more common.
But have we paused and thought how miserable the life of the kids might be.
We don’t have time for it. Juvenile crimes are on upward trajectory.
Teenage pregnancy is getting common in developed countries. Alcoholism and
drug abuse is increasing. These are the direct result of break-down of
social structure. Parents don’t have time to take care of children. And
maid can’t be a viable alternative to a mother. So children are mostly on
their own and are ending up being less human and more zombies. People do not
have time to take care of their elderly. So in the old-age people are ending
up in old age homes. The silent suffering of our senior citizen is because
   of our negligence.

But at the end of the day, we ourselves are not spared. Diabetes,
blood-pressure etc are on rise. These are in direct proportion to out
prosperity and material aspiration. Piling heath care bill because of
unhealthy lifestyle is becoming a cause of concern for Governments.

Why all these are happening? The answer might be: we are more devoted to our
professional objective. Definitely, we are more advanced than we used to be.
We have all the material comfort we need. So we have sacrificed out personal
objectives in search for professional success.

Subject: My views

I disagree to the view that professional success is hard to achieve without
sacrificing essential aspects of personal life. Instead, I contend that
professional success is the result of fine balence between personal and
professional life. Let me present some arguments to suppport my position.

Many researches conducted to evaluate the importance of satisfying pesrsonal
life in professional success have found that most of the successful people
have great personal life. These reserchers have shown that a satisfying
personal relationship encourages to take bold decisions and go extra mile.

Take, for example, former US President Mr. Bil Clinton. The way Mrs. Hillary
Clinton stood with him in his troubled times made Mr. Clinton to publicaly
acknowledge her role in his	successful professional life.

Secondly, many people think that professional success requires plenty of
time. And, those who wish to become succesful have to put a lot of time and
effort at the cost of their family life. I agree to this but only to an
extent. In my opinion, what constitutes the essenttial aspects of personal
life is a subjective thing. For example, one person may get satisfaction in
being with his wife while other person may get satisfaction in holding a
business meeting or mentoring his subordinates. The latter being personally
   satisfying and professionally rewarding.

In conclusion, I agree that professional success requiers much time and
effort but it is the fine balence between professional and personal life
   which makes one successful.

Subject: professional success hard to achieve without satisfying personal life
I Agree that professional success is hard to achieve without satisfying
personal life. Though we balance the professional life and personal life we
need great amount of patience and understanding to takle personal life and
not forget our commitment towards our professional life to achieve
success. In order to get a success in professional life we have to dedicate
time to organise tasks and prioritze our work in such a way that it not only
gives a good feeling of delivering work on time but a satisfaction that we
did it the best way. without ignoring our personal life if can manage and
provide the sufficient time and satify the needs of family members it will
become much easier to work productively. however if the personal life is
ignored and least importance is given to the family assuming that if we
spend more time working we can achive scucess and benifits we might be able
to satisfy at 90% of professional life but not be content with what we gave
to our family. For example, If you are spending 18 hours working and
ignoring your health and family as you have to complete your deadline you
are actually becoming more stressful and creating more stress at home due to
not organising things or planning things much ahead at your work front. This
can lead to miscommunication at home and family will misunderstand. planning
and prioritzing your tasks much earlier and communicating at the right time
with your loved ones at home and taking care of your personal needs when
required will all help you achieve both satisfying personal life and a
   successfull professional life
