Points AGAINST Essay Topic 2 :

Issue Topic 2. Organizations should attempt to remove the large number of positions and salary levels that categorize employees by skill and experience because a flat structure is more probable to foster a congenial working environment within the company.

Discuss whether you agree or disagree (partially or totally) with the view expressed providing reasons and examples.

Points AGAINST (not in favour of) topic:

AGAINST Point 2.1. There is no real driving force to push the employees to excel. The growth of the organization will suffer as a result.

AGAINST Point 2.2. Also, the argument that people will cooperate simply because they are on par in the workplace is flawed.

AGAINST Point 2.3. An organizational structure that allows employees to freely interact and exchange ideas with their seniors would provide a better solution.

AGAINST Point 2.4. An organization that does not generously reward excellence may not attract the best talent.

Example 2.4. Experienced employees who have become experts in their fields would not like to join organizations where their skills are ranked on par with those of all others. They would expect higher salary grades and designations.
