This bubbling high-spirited drink is named after a large artillery gun used by the French in the first world war.

Serve In : Tall Flute Glass (6 fl oz) as shown above
Type : Alcoholic Cocktail
Serves : 1 

1 fl oz (25 ml) gin
1  tablespoon(s) lemon juice
1  teaspoons(s) granulated (caster) sugar
2  ice cubes cracked
chilled Champagne to top up
1  slice(s) of orange

  1. Place the cracked ice cubes in a tall flute glass (es). Pour the gin, lemon juice and granulated (caster) sugar. Stir well till the sugar dissolves.
  2. Fill with the chilled champagne. To retain bubbles, do not stir.
  3. Serve decorated with slice(s) of orange.
