Sesame Potato Fingers


A spicy potato mixture grilled on bread and cut into fingers.

Vegetarian Quick and Easy Cooking

Serves: 4 
Cooking time (approx.):  minutes
Style: Continental Vegetarian

2  potato(es) boiled and grated
½  teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper flakes
½  onion(s) finely chopped
½  tomato(es) finely chopped
½  green bell pepper(s) finely chopped
1  teaspoon(s) tomato sauce
2  tablespoon(s) chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste
4  bread slices
4  tablespoons grated cheese (optional)
2  teaspoon(s) sesame seeds

  • In a bowl, mix the first 8 ingredients well. Divide this mixture into 4 portions. Spread each portion on a slice of bread and press well. Sprinkle grated cheese (optional) and sesame seeds on each slice. Grill in an oven for about 5  minutes or till the bread slices are toasted crisp. Cut each slice into fingers.


  • Instead of toasting the bread slices, they can be deep fried and cut into fingers.

Serve hot with: tomato sauce or Red Pepper and Garlic Dip
