Potatoes cooked and mashed with milk, butter and seasonings. Enjoy it as a dish by itself or serve as an accompaniment.

Vegetarian Quick and Easy Cooking

Cooking time (approx.):  minutes
Style: Continental Vegetarian

4  medium potatoes
2  tablespoon(s) softened butter
½  cup(s) hot milk
1  tablespoon(s) grated cheese (optional)
salt and pepper to taste

  • Peel the potatoes and cube them. Steam on medium heat for about 6  minutes or till done. Mash well with a potato masher or beat with a fork until smooth. Add rest of the ingredients and beat lightly till fluffy.


  • A choice of herbs like chives can be used as a garnish.

Serve hot immediately: with grated cheese or as an accompaniment with a main course.
